Suicide Gatekeeper Training

Region 9 School Based Health Services is providing Suicide Gatekeeper Training to the community. We know that you are on the front lines working directly with adults and kids every day, so we feel that you may be the ones who first notice that an individual is having behavioral health problems. This web-based training will equip you with tools to help students and adults that are struggling. Review our letter to the community for more information. To access the training website, log in here. The organizational code is: rix.

Child Find

Region 9 Child Find provides free developmental screenings provided in collaboration with communities and member school districts through Region 9 to help locate, identify, and evaluate children with developmental delays or disabilities ages three through 21.

Literacy Supports - Ruidoso Public Library

Feel free to share these great resources with families and teachers!

  • Preschool Story Time - Stories read each Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. After story time, we will make a craft.
  • Tiny Tots Program - This program is for infants up to three years of age. The program is offered Thursday mornings from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. We will introduce music, stories, and free play to the children.
  • Field Trips - Attention teachers and students! We offer several field trip options during the school year. Come get a library card, and learn to use your library. Teachers, we encourage you to call and arrange to bring your class to the library to check out and return books. The Ruidoso Public Library's "special" field trips for February and March will be Library Skills Part I and II. Learn about all the things our library has to offer including the Dewey Decimal system.
  • Summer Reading Program - The Ruidoso Public Library has sign-ups beginning the last two weeks of May and continuing until late July. Learn about the past, read for prizes, and participate in programs and crafts.
