Suicide Gatekeeper Training

Region IX School Based Health Services is providing Suicide Gatekeeper Training to the community. We know that you are on the front lines, working directly with adults and kids every day, so we feel that you may be the ones who first notice that an individual is having behavioral health problems. This web-based training will equip you with tools to help students and adults that are struggling. Check out the letter to the community for more information. To access the training website you may log in here. The organizational code is: rix.

Literacy Supports - Ruidoso Public Library

Feel free to share these great resources with families and teachers!

  • Preschool Story Time - Stories read each Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. After story time, we will make a craft.
  • Tiny Tots Program - This program is for infants up to three years of age. The program is offered Thursday mornings from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. We will introduce music, stories, and free play to the children.
  • Field Trips - Attention teachers and students! We offer several field trip options during the school year. Come get a library card, and learn to use your library. Teachers, we encourage you to call and arrange to bring your class to the library to check out and return books. The Ruidoso Public Library's "special" field trips for February and March will be Library Skills Part I and II. Learn about all the things our library has to offer including the Dewey Decimal system.
  • Summer Reading Program - The Ruidoso Public Library's theme for June and July of 2013 is "Blazing New Trails." Sign-ups begin the last two weeks of May and continue until July 20. Learn about the past, read for prizes, and participate in programs and crafts.
