SBHC Telehealth

SBHC Telehealth program is available to Corona, Carrizozo, and Hondo students. This program allows families to get an urgent care appointment for their child at school. It creates an online connection with the SBHC provider, the parent, the student, and the school nurse.

How It Works

School nurses assess the child and determine if a telehealth appointment is appropriate. The nurse contacts the parent to see if they are agreeable to a telehealth call. If so, the nurse notifies SBHC staff and schedules an appointment. The parent must sign consent and be present at the school in person or by phone for the appointment.

This program helps keep healthy kids at school and provides convenient medical care for those who need to be seen by a medical provider.
