These days find us sitting at our desks focused on monitors involved in meetings for much of the day, Zoom, Google Hangouts, Google Meets, Microsoft Team, GoTo Webinars. Our new normal is having families walk through our meetings, kids giving parents hugs in the morning, dogs barking, cats walking across in front of the monitor. This new workstyle requires a lot of stamina to maintain focus. We need to remember to get up, stretch, and move a bit. School closures have definitely increased the involvement of family into teaching and learning. Most homes share common space with the entire family, and family life occurs during the working day. Work continues even with the whole family home. It’s nice to see our Region 9 staff successfully navigating these challenging times and balancing family and work.
